Executive Director 

 

START: Thurrock is seeking an Executive Director to join us at a watershed moment as we translate our vision for a community-led START: Thurrock into reality.  Your remit will be to lead on the development and delivery of the START: Thurrock business plan, working with the Creative Director to realise the programme and increase cultural engagement across Thurrock. Informed by resident feedback you will be responsible for the strategic overview of the programme, reporting to funders and stakeholders, managing relationships and developing partnerships, and fundraising to drive the delivery of a cultural programme that responds to demand whilst raising aspirations and expectations.

We are looking for an exceptional creative leader and an enabler of others with the ability to provide the strong, ambitious and imaginative leadership needed for START: Thurrock CPP.  You will have experience in developing and managing teams, setting strategy and the ability to implement an artistic vision in true collaboration and partnership with the public.

You will believe passionately in the value of art and culture in people’s lives and want to make a difference.

£44,000 to £47,000 per annum FTE

Part time (0.6), fixed term contract to 30th June 2024

Marketing and Communications Manager

 

START: Thurrock is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to join us at a watershed moment as we seek to translate our vision for a community-led START: Thurrock into reality. 

Working as part of the START: Thurrock team you will help promote an ambitious programme that will drive up cultural engagement and provision in Thurrock’s towns, villages and landmark locations.

Your remit will be to develop and implement our communications and marketing strategy, grow our online presence and oversee the construction of a new website. This role sits at the heart of START: Thurrock and plays a key role in building our brand identity and connecting our work with a diverse range of audiences and participants to maximise our reach locally and nationally as part of the CPP network.

You will have marketing and budget management experience and the ability to deliver project outcomes working in true collaboration and partnership with the CPP delivery team.

 

£27,000 to £30,000 per annum 
Part time, fixed term contract to 31st March 2025

Evaluation and Impact Tender Invitation

 

START Thurrock wishes to appoint an experienced evaluation partner to develop and deliver an Evaluation Framework to measure the impact of START Thurrock over 2 years and its role in the long-term impact on arts and cultural engagement in Thurrock.

The successful bidder will help us understand and demonstrate the impacts and benefits the START: Thurrock programme is having on local communities and individuals; to understand whether the programme is influencing more people to experience and be inspired by the arts, whether aspiration for excellent culture has grown and what approaches to growing engagement and participation in culture have been successful.  

£30,000 included VAT
